MoT
If your car is 3 years old or older, it is a legal requirement to have an MoT test.
Our garages have all the latest diagnostic equipment to thoroughly carry out MoT tests on all makes of cars.
Your annual test can make you feel a little anxious but rest assured, our factory-trained technicians are on hand to make this as care-free as possible for you. We are here to ensure your car passes its test and if there are any repairs to be made or problems we will always contact you first to inform you of our findings.
Earn 2 points for every £1 spent on labour, non-warranty repairs and MoT on your Ford car. In addition, earn 2 points for every £1 spent on tyres and exhausts of any make of car, not just Ford.
FREE 29 point Visual Health Check
In between services it's important to carry out regular checks to ensure that wear and tear items are maintained and your car operates at it's peak performance.
To help you ensure that key areas of your vehicle are performing as they should we are on hand to carry-out a complimentary Visual Healthcheck. Our Healthcheck covers a number of important items including:
- Wheels & tyres
- External & electrical - mirrors, glass, lights, wipers, washers
- Underbonnet - engine oil, coolant, water, battery
- Brakes & hubs - fluid connection, pads, discs, hoses
- Underside - exhaust, steering, driveshaft
They'll give each area a rating of red, amber or green, indicating any actions and how urgent they are.
This check gives you then benefit of an expert overview of the vehicle plus maximising the resale value of your car.

Seasonal Advice for the winter months.
BATTERY
Lights, heaters, windscreen wipers and air-conditioning all put high demands on your car battery during the winter. A battery rarely lasts longer then 5 years so having it checked or replacing it is essential.
Inspect your TYRES
Check all tyres for condition, pressure and tread depths. At least 3mm of tread is recommended for winter motoring and certainly no less than 2mm. An easy way to check the tread depth of your tyres if they don't have wear indicators is with the use of a 10 pence coin. Place the coin in the tread and make sure the tread covers the edge as shown.
Consider changing to winter or all-season tyres. These have a higher silicone content in the tread which prevents it hardening at lower temperatures and therefore gives better grip in cold, wet and snowy weather.
Check your ANTI-FREEZE
Over time anti-freeze wears out lessening it's ability to protect vital engine and cooling systems against corrosion and freezing leaving you stranded. A bottle of anti-freeze costs only a few pounds. A new engine costs a lot more!
BRAKES
Brakes are essential so don't cut corners here. Be sure your brakes have enough “meat” on them to get you through the season.
WIPER BLADES
What do wipers have to do with winter weather? Everything!
You're driving through all different weather conditions which leaves sand and salt all over your car; especially the windscreen. It takes wipers that are in tip-top condition to keep your windscreen clean and safe.
WINDSCREEN WASHER FLUID
You'll be using a lot of this to try and keep your windscreen clean and clear. Imagine, your stuck behind a large lorry with no washer fluid because it's low or frozen; you can't see for a smeary windscreen.
Don't fill your washer fluid with anything else except washer fluid; it won't freeze.
